Is That How You Want Your Son Treated, Jack McElroy
Here is a post from Randy Neal at KnoxViews about Jack McElroy acting like a very little person. It seems a young adult (20ish) went to the News Sentinel to serve legal papers that I would or could only assume is to help determine the anonymous source that provided private bank records of Mayor Tim Burchett's campaign account.
McElroy apparently came running down the stairs at the Big Metal Shed on the Hill with a video camera and was asking the young man "who do you think you are". Now, since Jack video taped it, he can post it on youtube to see if my sources are accurate. That would be must see video.
I wonder if Jack would like for his son (who worked for Sandra Clark at Scripps owned Shopper News) to be treated like that.
I would think that the bank (First Tennessee Bank in this case) would be very intrigued who obtained the private bank records at the News Sentinel.
Five foot two inch 125 pound Jack McElroy seems to have a Napoleon complex. I would like to know if it is legal to print bank records in the paper. It seem to me to be a criminal invasion of privacy. How to we get rid of this little bully?
ReplyDeleteWhy doesn't Mayor Burchett know who has access to his canceled checks?
ReplyDeleteKNS and the Establishment it caters to is all in uproar, because we have a mayor who really listens to the people.
ReplyDeleteKNS, SOS, and KCS used every conniving trick in the book to try and get the school budget passed, and probably devised some new tricks.
What Burchett did is akin to what Gorbachev did:
He stood up to the unelected establishment who thinks it rules Knox County and he expoxed them for what they are.
Maybe Jack can learn that if you play with fire from time to time, you will get burned and I'm not so sure that if properly pursued that the news sentinel can hide behind their "promise not to tell" when they have information which could lead to a person who may have committed a felony by releasing banking information which they were not authorized to release. Also, considering how broke the News Sentinel is traveling, do you think Cincinnati will approve a few thousand dollars to take the subpoena issue up to the court of appeals for their consideration?
ReplyDeleteWhy would the editor go postal on a process server or a runner for a law firm. Come on Jack, you reap what you sow and you took the BS bait hook, line, and sinker and how you have to realize that if you had kept your daily rag closed to this type of nonsense, you would be in the situation you are in.
Seriously, make Donilla the editor of the newspaper and Scotty Barker the publisher and this goofy stuff will go away.
As Murdoch is learning, the media isn't above and beyond the law.
ReplyDeleteLike Murdoch, the KNS tried to use a very private and personal matter for the gain and benefit of its favored unelected elites, McIntyre, Edwards, and the rest of them.
Burchett was always their man until he stood up and said what they wanted wasn't what the people wanted.
He crossed the line by standing up to the unelected elites in town and now they're trying to make him pay.
