Republican Hamilton County Commissioner Curtis Adams Drops lawsuit against School Board
Hamilton County Commissioner Curtis Adams, longtime former Democrat County Commissioner from Hamilton County. Commissioner Adams earlier this year switched to the Republican Party. He switched parties immediately after Howard Dean was selected as the national Democrat leader. Commissioner Adams stated the Democrat Party had left him.
Commissioner Adams had filed a lawsuit challenging the Hamilton County School Board's vote, they voted to give Jesse Register a $150,000.00 contract as a consultant. The lawsuit issue was that Commissioner Adams believed the school board violated the sunshine law with the original vote on Register's consulting contract. The school board then advertised and re-voted on the contract. Thus, resulting in Commissioner Adams dropping his lawsuit.
