Charles "Dean" Burchett at age 85 passed on to his eternal reward today. He served for more than 40 years as dean of students at University of Tennessee - Knoxville. In June, he suffered a serious stroke. "Dean" Burchett was a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II fighting in the Pacific theater.He and Mrs. Burchett (Joyce) I just can't call her anything other than Mrs. Burchett are the parents of our State Senator Tim Burchett.
