I was in Nashville last night, still over on business. Last night began the annual CMA Fan Fest. Since I was in downtown Nashville, I ventured over to the world famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge. In my visits to tootsies, the upstairs bands are more to my liking then the downstairs band.
Last night after having dinner at Merchants, I wandered in to Tootsies and went straight upstairs and guess what current country artist was rocking the upstairs of Tootsies. Trent Tomlinson. I was able to see at least two songs before he exited the stage and left the building. I guess there were about 175 people upstairs during the time that I was there. Had I bothered to check Tootsies website, I would have been there at 6:30 p.m. when he started his performance. After listening to Hailey Hicks of Cedartown, GA. I ventured down to The Second Fiddle and listened to Becki McCloud and band featuring Todd Sansom on keyboard and background vocals. After some time there, I ventured to The Stage and listened to Craig Campbell, Craig's myspace is here and after Craig, up next was Johnny T and Due South. Johnny T and Due South's myspace page is here.

Overall, a great night of music and as I left Nashville this afternoon, the thousands and thousands of country music fans were descending on downtown Nashville for the next four days.
