The Knox County Republican Party will have their annual Lincoln Day Dinner on April 8, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Knoxville. The Speaker will be Senator Tom Coburn, M.D. of Oklahoma. Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett and John Duncan III are the Chairmen of the dinner. The price is reportedly $25 per person.As of this posting, I am not sure why the change of venue. The dinner has historically always been held at Rothchild's Catering and Conference Center. I also wonder of if there is any fear that with a speaker like Coburn that too many TEA party members may attend and mess up all the fun for the RINO's and moderate loyalists.
