Yesterday the citizens of Georgia did the right thing. They re-elected Senator Saxby Chambliss to another term as their United States Senator. Chambliss and Democrat Jim Martin were unable to garner a 50% plus 1 vote total on November 4, 2008. So they both had to campaign in a run-off election that was held yesterday December 2, 2008.
Chambliss is now Republican Senator 41 which means that President-Elect Obama will NOT have the Super Majority of 60 in the United States Senate. So, yesterday and today are great days in America.
Congratulations to Senator Chambliss and all of his campaign team.
