Knoxville City Council - First and Fourth District

There are only two candidates running for First District City Council position. They are native Knoxvillian and former City Councilman Nick Pavlis. Pavlis has NOT been on Council for six years. Pavlis works for Charter Communications. Pavlis has a website, it is located here. Nick is pictured with his wife to the right.

The other candidate is Robert Marlino, he works with a downtown Knoxville Architectural firm. Both candidates will advance to the General election.

There are also only two candidates running for Fourth District City Council position. They are longtime community activist Nick Della Volpe. Brian Hornback of Brian's Blog worked with Della Volpe in the late 80's and early 90's when as a community we fought the construction of a mass burn incinerator. Della Volpe has been instrumental in the continued success of Town Hall East. In the late 80's and early 90's Brian Hornback of Brian's Blog was a member and an ordained Deacon and Elder of Eastminister Presbyterian Church. During that time and today, Della Volpe is a member of Eastminister. Della Volpe has a campaign website it is located, here.

Former failed City Council At Large candidate Ray Abbas is a candidate. He has recently been hospitalized with migraine headaches. Abbas has a campaign website it is located, here. Both Della Volpe and Abbas will advance to the General election ballot in November.
